Our Reason for Going ROG
In early 2025, we had the opportunity to foster a stray momma cat and her three babies through a local rescue. At just four weeks old, the three kittens required a lot of love and attention. As they got bigger, so did our hearts. We decided to adopt Luna & Lily. Their mother, Lavender, and their brother Indie, were also adopted into their forever homes. We knew that we wanted them to be adventure kitties from the beginning, which meant a lot training to get them ready for the outdoors and traveling in a camper.
After MANY years of tent camping, we knew we had to make a switch over to an adventure trailer to make travel and time away from the campsite safe and comfortable for Luna & Lily. So, we decided to buy an adventure trailer. We knew that modifying the interior space so it was functional for Luna & Lily was imperative.
Cat-Friendly MODIFICATIONS
When we are out hiking in places we can't take the girls, we had to make sure that Luna & Lily had all the necessities they needed. We converted the interior closet into a multifunctional space. The goal was to have a dedicated feeding platform, litter box area and a pass-thru cubby to get to the litter box.
The design went through several iterations, but we finally found one that functioned as storage space when we were on the road, and quickly converted into their "living quarters" when we were camping. At the same time, the entire system had to be modular and easily removed. After spending a few hours in their space over the course of several days, Luna & Lily felt right at home!
Looking for adventure!
Luna & Lily love to travel. We worked tirelessly to get them harness trained and comfortable in a variety of different environments. It wasn't always easy, but in the end it paid off.
Their favorite place to be is adventuring through the woods, scratching on trees, chasing anything that moves, sniffing the fresh air and lying down in a sunny spot.
